Societe Generale’s UK Tax function (‘SEGL/FIS’) is responsible for the oversight and management of tax in the jurisdictions. The team provide tax compliance and advice in tax matters to all group entities located in the UK, Channel Islands, Gibraltar and Ireland, with the support of the local Finance teams in charge of relevant entities, and external tax advisors where necessary.
SEGL/FIS UK is a small team of talented professionals who are specialist in their own field of tax ranging from Corporate Income Taxes, VAT, Bank Levy and Operational taxes in the Financial Services sector. Having worked for Big-4 Accountancy firms and Top Tier Investment Banks the team have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share with the successful candidate.

We are here to help you succeed, so we will provide fully supported learning throughout your time as a post graduate Apprentice. Also, you will also have a dedicated skills coach to support you through your journey.

Good level of English (oral and written)
Analytical thinking skills
Strong numerical competency
Written skills: able to write a clear comprehensive memo or e-mail
Presentation skills: able to make short oral or written presentation
IT skills: able to use Microsoft Office tools Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Organisation skills: help perform all tasks within the deadline and anticipate workload
Ability to work in an international environment and to cooperate with different teams
