Reporting to Senior Financial Institutions (“FI”) Banker of Global Transaction Banking, Trade Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for marketing and customer service to a portfolio of Financial Institutions (Banks) clients and Risk Distribution activities in Asia, the responsibilities include, but is not limited to:
Supporting the front office activities of the FI Trade Finance business;
Communicating with the FI clients to facilitate Trade Finance opportunities and transactions;
Liaising with internal stakeholders in Operations, Legal, Compliance, Relationship Managers and Head office to deliver quality support;
Preparing monthly reports for Trade Finance business;
In addition, the candidate will provide secondary support to the Trade team in Singapore in charge of Corporate relationships
Maintain day-to-day contacts with FI clients, in order to establish a good and close working relationship
Collaborating with other countries’ Trade teams to work on business opportunities with banks in the portfolio, and obtain their support to capture transactions originated from banks in the portfolio
Ensure a prompt and competitive reply to all transactions proposed by clients, within the guidelines established by the business line
Handle clients’ inquiries related to Trade Services to help them solve operation issues and making sure every inquiry will be taken care within stipulated turnaround time
Provide first level of customer support for banks in the portfolio and liaise with Trade Services teams across the bank’s Trade network to ensure a smooth and efficient reply to all customer enquiries
Assist global Trade teams in the settlement of operational issues arising with banks in portfolio
Assist in Know-Your-Customers (“KYC”) onboarding and reviews of clients in portfolio and liaison with internal KYC teams
This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
Academic Background And Certifications, Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above;
Understanding of Trade Finance preferred;
Is meticulous and able to multi-task whilst prioritizing the work assigned;
Good analytical skills and adept at Microsoft applications (especially MS Excel);
A strong team player with integrity, initiative and resourcefulness to work independently and proactively
Willing to Learn and Develop Skills
