BDA is undergoing significant growth and is looking for a passionate Human Factors Practitioner with experience in a systems engineering environment to join our team. We are seeking technical professionals interested in working collaboratively across an interdisciplinary and multinational team on cutting edge systems, and developing exciting new technologies, to support and grow Australia's defence capability.
In this role, you will use Human Factors methods within a Systems Engineering framework to plan and coordinate activities/procedures to design, develop and verify systems as they relate to safety and human performance. You will have responsibility to support projects in understanding of requirements development and design implications pertaining to human factors and identify potential and realised performance and safety considerations. Leveraging your experience, you will provide guidance and mentorship in the team, and lead specific scopes of work in human factors engineering for projects.
You will also have the opportunity to actively promote the benefit of human factors across the organisation and contribute to the development and growth of this discipline within BDA.
Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence outcomes in a team environment
A continuous improvement mindset
Tertiary degree qualification in psychology, engineering, or other relevant qualifications
Experience in human factors engineering in a complex project environment
Post-Graduate qualifications in Human Factors is desirable.
