The opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia is now recruiting for the position of P8 Commercial Manager, based in Adelaide/RAAF Base Edinburgh.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Management of all commercial and business matters for the Program, meeting customer and company requirements for business operations.
  • Leadership to and management of business team personnel.
  • Key member of the P8 Leadership Team, contributing to the development of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Safeguards the financial integrity of the Program by implementing and maintaining the required business management procedures and practices and by using the appropriate tools and qualified personnel.
  • Facilitates effective business management practices by monitoring the quality and timeliness of financial and management reporting, and contracting and negotiating processes.
  • Effectively plans and manages business activities by producing and reviewing the project budgets, schedules, EACs, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and longer term plans including input into the Long Range Business Plan (LRBP).

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and resolving business management issues including financial, contractual/subcontract and integrated scheduling matters.
  • Excellent communicator, people oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively while working to schedule commitments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
  • Experience in commercial management in a major project environment (at least 5 years).
  • A focus on continuous improvement and driving functional excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare high-level management reports to identify issues, discuss options and recommend actions.
  • CPA/ICAA qualified with relevant experience in business law or business administration.
