Our team builds and runs the translation service that powers translations in Skype, Bing, Office and Windows, as well as translation apps on iOS and Android. The service is also used by thousands of companies around the world to translate everything from social media to technical documents.
As a research intern you will be able to help shaping the future of Neural Machine Translation via tackling real life problems and working along with other researchers and interns. During the 12-week internship, interns are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community. Interns are expected and highly encouraged to publish research papers as a result of their internship. Research internships are available in all areas of research, and are offered year-round, though they typically begin in the summer.
Must have experience with deep learning for Machine Translation or Natural language Processing
Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science or a related STEM filed.
Demonstrated ability to develop original research ideas.
Must be able to collaborate effectively with other researchers and product development teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-group, and cross-culture collaboration.
