What you’ll be doing...

This position involves customer facing collections activities. Also provides billing dispute interpretation and negotiation with customers. Responsible for collections, account aging reduction and tracking customer balances for a set customer base of large wholesale customers with millions of dollars in annual sales revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure collections strategies for wholesale revenue are handled effectively and within contractual terms.
  • Supporting project initiatives and recommending process enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Working with other Verizon internal organizations such as Sales, Tax, Contracts and Legal for customer issues.
  • Providing excellent customer service to wholesales customers.
  • Interpreting and communicating wholesale billing claims resolutions to the customers.

What we’re looking for...

You are a well-organized, detail oriented person who enjoys managing work efficiently to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have strong analytical and problem solving skills, but you’ll also have a customer service orientation and be a great communicator who can interact well with a diverse range of people.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
  • Experience working in a collection support call center.
  • Experience in creating complex queries and reporting tools.
  • Experience working with financial, accounting and collection support systems.
  • Experience of electronic customer self-serve support applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products & Google Products.
  • Negotiation skills.
