Our Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) has a strong belief that the future of our infrastructure is on cloud. As part of this vision it has already begun building the ‘bridge’ to access public cloud in addition to a private cloud for specific workflows. Significant engineering challenges remain in 1) driving the architecture of our public cloud to allow teams to focus on building world class cloud native applications 2) assessing existing applications and assisting our engineers to migrate them to the cloud.
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Experience working in a capacity management, product management, or financial modeling role.
  • Experience in application development and/or technology infrastructure organizations
  • Develop models on application utilization and frequency data to determine appropriate cloud product/service commitment mix.
  • Analyze application base from a financial perspective, based on cost product usage, geography and other demographic data and assess for alignment w/capabilities and strategy.
  • Assess use cases and application in coordination with architects and engineers.
  • Knowledge of public cloud service providers and vendors (e.g. AWS) and private cloud technologies, and general application architecture.
  • Forecast demand based on assessment, strategy, capability, in coordination w/Application Developers and Finance & Business Management.
  • Develop appropriate Cloud business case process, in coordination w/Cloud Engineers and existing Finance & Business Management best practices.
  • Prioritize and co-ordinate across multiple streams of work, working with differing groups to drive progress and conversations constructively.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • Comfortable working in high pressure situations and understand how to ask for help and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Experience of working in major enterprise and/or financial services firm, or knowledge of existing JPMC systems, policies and procedures is a plus.
