Work you’ll do
As a Summer Scholar, you will have opportunities to make an impact on a broad range of transformative projects for our clients. You will support the delivery of various types of client deliverables that range from information management solutions and implementations of large-scale technology platforms to supporting the development of advisory materials for technical architecture and IT operating models.  You can capitalize on our cross-industry presence to find your niche and begin building your individual brand. This person should have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and communicate findings. We recognize that you have unique skills, experiences, and interests, so we divide the broad scope of the Summer Scholar role into skills-based profiles in order to best align each Summer Scholar to a focus area. Setting our people up for success is our highest priority. We are currently recruiting Summer Scholars whose skills and interests align with one of the following areas:

·        Technology Strategy

o   This Analyst leverages technology skills, industry experience, and business domain knowledge to drive technology-enabled strategic transformation. This Analyst develops strategies that optimize the use of technology to transform capabilities and unlock business value.

o   Majors: Business, Economics, STEM

·        Solutions Engineering

o   This Analyst supports design, implementation, and operation of ‘heart of the business’ systems in order to enhance clients’ technology capabilities and deliver on enterprise objectives. This Analyst assists clients with the design, assessment, and optimization of integrated solutions across the organization.

o   Majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems

·        Digital Design & Innovation

o   This Analyst focuses on the voice of the customer, including enhanced user experience and engagement through the customer lifecycle. This Analyst utilizes awareness of leading edge technologies to define capabilities and solutions that help clients more effectively connect with their customers across channels.

o   Majors: User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Communications, Liberal Arts

·        Enterprise Technology Transformation

o   This Analyst drives business transformation by assessing current business operations and applying core technology solutions and industry leading practices to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. This Analyst works with our clients to develop capability-driven technology roadmaps to transform business operations.

o   Majors: Business, Economics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations, STEM

·        Analytics

o   This Analyst leverages disparate data to design cutting-edge analytics platforms to help clients identify trends and make informed business decisions. This Analyst also advises clients on data management and business analytics to enable continuous and sustained value creation.

o   Majors: Analytics, Data Science, Math/Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning

 

The Team
Our Technology Consulting team plays a major role in directly embedding technology insights into our clients’ organizational goals. At Deloitte, our technology consultants create sharply-focused solutions within an organization’s operating model, accounting for its people, intellectual capital, technology, and processes. Engagement teams at Deloitte drive value for our clients but also understand the importance of developing resources and contributing to the communities in which we work. Required Qualifications

  • Junior standing in a full-time academic program with a target graduation date between December 2019 and June 2020

·        Undergraduate in the following or related majors:

o   Technology Strategy: Business, Economics, STEM

o   Solutions Engineering: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems

o   Digital Design & Innovation: User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Communications, Liberal Arts

o   Enterprise Technology Transformation: Business, Economics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations, STEM

o   Analytics: Analytics, Data Science, Math/Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning

·        Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.5)

·        Availability to participate in the Summer Scholar Program full-time for 10-weeks from June to August 2019

·        Ability to travel 80-100%

How You’ll Grow
Throughout the course of the internship program, you’ll receive formal and informal mentorship and training. Our Summer Scholar training program provides a view both into the technical skills as well as critical professional behaviors, standards, and mindsets required to make the most of your internship. The program includes a variety of team-based, hands-on exercises and activities. Beyond the formal training, you will work with talented consulting professionals, granting you access to ask questions and gain valuable real world experience while working on client engagements.
